Leslie Raymond, the first postmaster and namesake of Raymond, Washington, and his wife Stella, upon their deaths, wished to create a foundation for the betterment of their community. In their will they established a trust to be used for local organizations, events, and schools. For over 50 years, that foundation – the Leslie V and Stella J Raymond Foundation – has been providing grants and scholarships to students and community groups.
